A top-covering stretch wrapper is a packaging device used to apply top covering and peripheral wrapping to palletized goods or regular/irregular items. By eliminating air from the top, it ensures the film tightly adheres to the goods, preventing scattering, moisture damage, or breakage during transportation while enhancing overall stability.
Working Principle
Automatic Detection and Activation:
The height of the goods is automatically detected by photoelectric sensors. When the goods are conveyed to the designated position, the sensors trigger the device to start, and the wrapping mechanism begins operation.
Top-Covering Process:
The top-covering device places the plastic film roll on the film-dispensing roller of the lifting frame. The roller rotates, driven by a motor and chain-sprocket mechanism, causing the film roll to unwind and release the plastic film. The film is then clamped by grippers, and the motor of the conveying frame operates to advance the film. Once the film frame lowers and the film is dispensed onto the palletized goods, the grippers automatically release the film, completing the top-covering process.
Wrapping Process:
After the top covering is completed, the wrapping mechanism begins operation. Utilizing the stretch film’s elasticity and self-adhesive properties, it performs a full peripheral wrap around the goods, binding them and the pallet into a single unit to secure and stabilize the load.
